Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance

To comply with updated government regulations and ensure the security of our platform, we are now required to collect additional information from you and verify your identity before you can fully access our services. This identity verification process is known as Know Your Customer (KYC).

New Information We Collect: In line with these regulatory changes, from July 1st 2026, we will require you to provide your full name, date of birth, current residential address, and a copy of a valid government-issued identification document (such as a driver’s license or passport and a utilities bill)

Why We Need It: We process this extra information solely to fulfill our strict legal obligations under Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing laws, prevent fraud, and keep our platform secure.

How Your Data is Handled: This sensitive data is treated with the highest level of confidentiality. It is shared with trusted third-party identity verification providers or regulatory authorities only when strictly required by law, and it is stored securely for the exact duration mandated by statutory regulations.

Sensitive Information

Sensitive information is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about such things as an individual’s racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record or health information.

Third Parties

Ethical Choice Buyer Agents will not charge any fee for your access request, but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your Personal Information. 

In order to protect your Personal Information we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.

It is important to us that your Personal Information is up to date. We will take reasonable steps to make sure that your Personal Information is accurate, complete and up-to-date.
